Sacramento, CA: The California Storm announced today the signing of 2024 UCLA commit and San Juan SC defender Paloma Daubert. Daubert first appeared for the Storm in August 2022 when the club played an international friendly against the Chinese Women’s National Team, but has yet to appear for them in an official match. Daubert held her own against the seasoned Chinese players and made a positive impact every minute she was on the field.

Daubert traveled in 2022 to Sweden with NorCal Premier PDP to participate in the Gothia Cup, where she scored in the team’s third round match against Djurgårdens. NorCal Premier PDP would eventually lift the Puma Trophy after defeating Bayer Leverkusen 2-1.

“Paloma is so young but she’s so smart and fast getting into 1v1 situations,” said Coach jamie Levoy. “I’m so excited to get her out there, I think it’s going to be a great opportunity for her to learn from the older players and I’m so honored the Storm is a part of her journey.”

Daubert recently announced that she’s verbally committed to UCLA and will begin playing for the 2022 NCAA Champions in 2024.
