Sacramento, CA: Today, the California Storm announced its 2nd Annual Season Kick Off Gala. Last year’s gala, the Storm’s first, was a success and saw board members Brandi Chastain, Leslie Osborne, and Sissi and notable alumni Tracy Hamm inducted into the club’s first Hall of Fame. Also in attendance were current players and their families, season ticket holders, community members of note, staff, and representatives of the club’s sponsors.

This year, the Storm is welcoming the community to join in again as the club celebrates the kick off what is hopefully another successful season, in a new league (the USL W League) and as the defending champions (in the WPSL). The gala will be held at Old Sugar Mill on May 16th starting at 6PM. An open bar (courtesy of Sudwerk Brewing and Clarksburg Wine) and catering (courtesy of Old Sugar Mill) will be available and a silent auction will be conducted throughout the gala.

The club will also host a pre-gala College Coaches Panel with college coaches and players providing recruiting advice for student athletes, parents & coaches. Coaches will discuss important topics relevant to the growth of women’s soccer in a panel format. Speakers will include representatives from Cal Berkeley, UC Davis, UCLA, Sac State and more.

Admission to the College Coaches Panel and the Season Kick Off Gala is included in the cost of 2023 Season Tickets. Current season ticket holders and fans who purchase 2023 Season Tickets by May 15th will receive an email to RSVP for the event.

Tickets are also available for non-2023 Season Ticket holders as well and can be purchased now. More info about how to stream the Pre-Gala Conference for out of market fans who are interested in the panel will be sent out at a later date.
