The California Storm announced today the signing of the first new player for 2023, TCU junior forward Camryn Lancaster.

Sacramento, CA: The California Storm announced today the signing of the first new player for 2023, TCU junior forward Camryn Lancaster, pending league approval. The Texas native was rated #23 in TopDrawerSoccer’s 2021 Top 100 Freshman list and was called in to the USYNT U-20 camp last May.

“I’m excited for the incredible opportunity to play with Cal Storm this summer,” said Lancaster, about signing with the Storm. “I’m looking forward to making new friends and competing against strong players and teams.”

About the club’s first new signing of the year, Coach Jamie Levoy said:

“We are thrilled to have Camryn part of the team. Camryn has been a force in the attacking third for TCU and on the YNT. She has the incredible ability to find the back of the net and her work rate is undeniable. In my conversations with her I have been impressed with her demeanor and her dedication to wanting to taking her game to the next level. We are excited to begin working with her.”

Her sophomore season with the Horned Frogs, Camryn played 23 matches, starting every game. She scored 6 goals and made 1 assist. In her freshman year, Camryn played 24 matches, starting 15 of them. She scored 9 goals and assisted 12 more, logging 48 SH/27 SOG for a .563 SOG%. Before attending TCU, Camryn played for the famed Solar SC in North Texas, scoring 56 career goals and 36 career assists.
