Schultz electric in breakout season

Rather than reveling in a fantastic individual season featuring 17 goals for the PacNorth Champion California Storm, Schultz prefers to touch on the performance of those around her, even lauding the composure of her defenders and goalkeeper.



Storm Finishes top 8 in the country

The California Storm finished the their season with a record of 11 wins and 1 loss on the season. The Storm was in the top 8 in the country out of 119 teams. It was a great season for the California Storm and they look forward to continue building on this season next year.


Going to Regional Championship

The California Storm won the semi final match 2-0 vs host Golden State FC and is advancing to the Regional Championship match. The first goal came from Sydney Schultz as she beat a defender down the right hand side and slotted the ball far post to give the Storm the 1-0 lead. The second goal came in the final minutes of the game from Geneve Dromenske after a scramble in the box she cracked a shot just under the cross bar solidifying the win. The next game for the Storm will be against the reigning National Champions, Seattle Sounders.




PacNorth Conference Champions!!!

The California Storm won the PacNorth conference with an undefeated record of 10-0. They defeated the San Francisco Nighthawks 3-0 at the hawks home field. The game was tied at half time 0-0. Second half the Storm stepped up their game and put 3 in the back of the net. First goal came from Caitlin Prothe off of an assist by Remy Siemsen. Second game was a pk in the box where Sydney Schultz had been fouled going to goal. Siemsen converted on the pk for the 2-0 lead. The third and final goal began from a long ball by Abby Faingold to Sydney Schultz down the right hand side. Schultz in the final minutes of the game beat her opponent down the line and put the ball in the back of the net. The Storm advances to the Regional Playoffs where they will face host Golden State FC.
