University of San Francisco: Madalyn Schiffel
Goalkeeper Madalyn “Maddy” Schiffel has had a good season so far, having started and played every single game this season with the University of San Francisco. Throughout those 16 games, she has racked up nearly 1500 minutes with the Dons in the 2014 season. Schiffel has 14 career shutouts, and is one away from breaking the school record.
Schiffel currently has 17 goals against her this season in a tough West Coast Conference, and a GA average of 1.04. The Junior goalkeeper has made 54 saves this season for the Dons. Schiffel has faced various Storm teammates this season, as San Francisco has played against Cal, Saint Mary’s, and UC Davis. Schiffel kept clean sheets against Saint Mary’s and UC Davis.
Overall, the Dons have a lot of catching up to do, currently sitting in eighth place in the WCC. Their next game is this Friday, October 31 against University of Portland at home. You can follow that game here.
Saint Mary’s College: Casidee Lynch
Casidee Lynch has been a key player for the Saint Mary Gaels. The Junior defender has seen action in every game, a key component of the Gaels backline.
Overall, Saint Mary’s has struggled this season, winning just one game in the West Coast Conference. The Gaels sit in ninth place, right behind San Francisco.

UC Davis: Ana Marija Sola
At UC Davis, Ana Marija Sola has started 17 games for the Aggies. Last week, she scored the game winner in UC Davis’ 2-1 win over Hawaii, a 34th minute penalty kick.
Besides her goal, she also has one assist so far this season. The Aggies (2-3-2) are currently in fifth place in the Big West, seven points behind first place Cal Poly.

San Jose State University: Mireya Wathen-Mayorga
Storm has one player in the Mountain West Conference in Mireya Wathen-Mayorga. The season started slow for the Junior, but over the last few weeks she has been able to get more playing time. She has four starts this season, one of those against Schiffel’s San Francisco Dons. Wathen-Mayorga has one assist in all games played.
San Jose sits in seventh place at the moment in the MWC. Their next game is tomorrow, October 31, when the Spartans visit Fresno State. The game kicks off at 7 PM, and you can follow it here.
